Police Investigating Early Morning CR Shooting

Authorities in Cedar Rapids are investigating a shooting that took place in the early morning hours. Police were called to Soutter Ave and 40th street SW at around 4:40 a.m.

Police officials told KCRG that one person was injured with a gunshot wound. The extent of the injuries is not known. Police say that no one is in custody and that they are still looking for suspects.
