[PHOTO] Iowa Bride Looks Like Royalty in Her $3 Wedding Dress
Purchasing a dress for your big day is not an easy task. One Iowa bride had an amazing find when she was looking for her wedding dress.
People are saying that Rachel Connealy is a Meghan Markle look-alike in her wedding gown. While she may be the spitting image of the Duchess, the biggest difference between these two gowns is about $265,000.
In 2018, when Meghan Markle married Prince Harry the dress she wore for the wedding ceremony cost about $265,000. Today it would cost about $271,000.
Connealy is getting quite a few of these comparisons after purchasing her wedding dress. Hers was nowhere near as expensive as the British prince's bride. The Iowan picked up her gown while she was out thrifting at Goodwill.
The cost for this full-length, silk gown find was only $3.
“I actually left the Goodwill and I literally cried, and I called my mom and I was like, ‘Remember the dresses that I’ve been showing you that I wanted so bad? I found one and it fits me like a glove,’” the bride said.
The Iowa couple got married in mid-July and it wasn't until recently that they started to get national attention for the wife's thrifty nature.
For her big day, Connealy wore the now internet-famous floor-length gown to the ceremony. Just like Markle herself, the Iowan transformed into a completely different dress for the reception.
At the party, she changed into a shorter number that was perfect to dance the night away in. After scrolling through her social media I found out that she also thrifted the second dress!
These two looks are so different, but they both came together to create a few perfect wedding fashion moments.
