After a Cedar Rapids show in the summer of 2021, burgeoning superstar Parker McCollum is on his way back to eastern Iowa this winter.

McCollum first came to the area for a July 2021 concert at the McGrath Amphitheatre in downtown Cedar Rapids. This winter, he'll be playing at a much larger venue.

A Texas native, Parker McCollum describes himself as "a hopeless romantic. Take all those heartbreak moments, they come from real places. Not always mine, but I've witnessed every one. Boil 'em down, put 'em in a song. That's my deal." It's a recipe that's certainly worked for McCollum thus far. His first two singles. "Pretty Heart" and "To Be Loved by You" were both number one hits.

McCollum's third hit, "Handle on You" has already reached the Top 30, less than three months after its release.

Thursday, February 16 is when Parker McCollum will headline Xtream Arena in Coralville. It will be just the third country concert at the new venue in the Iowa River Landing, following Toby Keith and Cody Johnson.

McCollum's show will also feature newcomers Corey Kent and Catie Offerman. Show information here.

Top 22 Country Songs of 2022, Ranked

There are plenty of feel-good country jams on this list of the top country songs of 2022, but the No. 1 song is one of the best love songs of the decade. These 22 songs are ranked by critical acclaim, radio and sales success, and importance to the genre.

Seven of the 22 artists made our Top Country Songs list from 2021, as well, but there are no song repeats. If a song made a previous list (or didn't spend most of its time on the charts in 2022), it's not eligible. So, before you ask where your favorite song is (i.e. Cody Johnson, "'Til You Can't"), be sure the miss isn't just a technicality.
