Get ready to do some shopping!

Back in April, we told you about the What Cheer Flea Market, a massive flea market that happens every year here in Iowa. Located over at the Keokuk County Fairgrounds in What Cheer, the market is one of the largest and most popular in the Midwest. The What Cheer Flea Market has already happened once in 2022, and the next date is coming up quick!

The next What Cheer Flea Market is coming up Friday, August 5th through Sunday, August 7th. According to the Facebook page, the August event will feature around 400 vendors from 12 different states taking up 750 spaces over 20 acres!

If you are interested in checking out all the antiques, memorabilia, and collectables that the What Cheer Flea Market has to offer, the gates open at 7 a.m. each day and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Friday/Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3 per person on Friday and Saturday and free on Sunday. Kids 12 and under are free the whole weekend. You can also get "Early Bird Admission" on Thursday, August 4th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $5 per person.

The official website for the What Cheer Flea Market offers a bit of information for shoppers. For example, they suggest wearing sunscreen and comfortable shoes, bringing bags or some kind of wagon or cart for your purchases, and having cash on you. There are ATMs on site, as well as several concession stands for food and beverages. Pets are allowed, as are golf carts and scooters for guests that are "physically unable to get around the grounds on their own." If you're planning to visit on Saturday, prepare for traffic and longer lines, because it's always the busiest day of the market. You can get more information about the event HERE.

The final What Cheer Flea Market of the year is set for Friday, September 30th through Sunday, October 2nd.
