One of Iowa's Most Successful Cities is Right Here in the Corridor

When you consider poverty level, median household income, and rate of unemployment, this corridor city is one of the ten best in the entire state.

All 80 Iowa cities with populations over 5,000 were studied by Zippia and only one in eastern Iowa made the list.

The fast-growing community of North Liberty, population 14,503, lays claim to the sixth most successful city in Iowa. The city's median household income is $72,470, third lowest among the cities in the top ten. Its poverty rate is 8.1 percent, worst among Iowa's ten most successful cities. So what helped North Liberty into its lofty ranking? The city's unemployment rate that stands at 0.7%. That trails only Waukee (0.6) and Sioux Center (0.5).
