Olympic Race Official Walks Onto BMX Practice Track, Gets Plowed
The Olympics continue to provide internet gold, with every day seemingly bringing at least one new video.
This morning, Dutch BMX competitor Niek Kimmann was riding the Olympic course, navigating the jumps to get ready for the competition on Thursday.
His run came to a sudden stop when a race official suddenly decided it was the time to walk across the track.
Kimmann ran straight into the official, knocking both of them over.
"So this is what happened today," Kimmann said, sharing a video of the incident. "Hit an official that wanted to cross the second straight. Hope the official is OK. My knee is sore, but will do my best to be ready for Thursday! Thanks everyone for the messages, appreciate it!"
Tokyo is Kimmann's second time at the Olympics. He scored seventh at Rio in 2016 after falling in the quarter finals, suffering an ankle injury.
Hopefully he will have recovered from this accident before Thursday.
