A New North Liberty Restaurant Offers More Than 20 Different Kinds of Margaritas
If you're a fan of Cedar Rapids restaurants Mextizo and CaFé Tacuba, there's a good chance you'll love the new restaurant that just opened in Johnson County... XOLO!
Where is the Restaurant Located?
Xolo is in North Liberty at 1295 Jordan Street, the same building that was recently home to El Patrón Mexican Bar & Grill. El Patrón is now listed as "permanently closed" on Google, although the restaurant's closure date is not listed on their Facebook page or website.
Who Owns Xolo?
Xolo is owned by Ozzy Aguirre, Ariel Barrios, and Raul Gomez, and is part of the Ozzar Group, "a family of privately owned restaurants proudly serving Eastern Iowa." The group runs other three other popular Mexican restaurants in the area: Mextizo on Blairs Ferry Road, CaFé Tacuba in the NewBo District, and Tequilero in Vinton. All three restaurants are highly-rated on Google, with a 4.6 (268 reviews), a 4.7 (209 reviews), and a 4.7-star rating (104 reviews), respectively.
What's on the Menu?
According to a new article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, the options at Xolo are very similar to the options at Mextizo. The vast menu consists of tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, quesadillas, bowls, seafood dishes, chimichangas, and much, much more. There are also lots of cocktails to choose from on the drink menu, including tiki drinks and over 20 different margaritas! You can check out the full menu online HERE (hit "Ctrl" and "+" to zoom in for better visibility).

When is Xolo Open?
The hours listed on Xolo's official website are:
- Sunday: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
