A Couple of New Restaurants are Coming to the Westdale Area

Photos of banners from a couple of new restaurants over on the SW side of Cedar Rapids popped up on Facebook late last week. Let's dive in!

The first new restaurant that I saw pop up on social media was actually posted by Dirty Dough in Cedar Rapids. The cookie shop, which opened earlier this year, posted a photo of a new sign with the caption, "exciting things happening on the westside by us!"

Dirty Dough is located at 2811 Wiley Blvd. SW, Suite 100, and one of their neighbors in the strip center will be a place called Golden Apple Buffet. As of right now, there doesn't appear to be an official website or Facebook page for the new Cedar Rapids restaurant, but there are for a Golden Apple Buffet with the same logo in Papillion, Nebraska. That restaurant just held its grand opening in June and offers "more than 150 items, including Chinese food, sushi and sashimi," according to the Omaha World-Herald. I reached out to the restaurant to ask if they are opening a Cedar Rapids location, but have yet to hear back.

The second post I saw was for a place called Cheesy Noodle Macs & Snacks. The signage for this new restaurant has gone up at 3998 Westdale Pkwy SW, Suite 100 in Cedar Rapids. But, much like Golden Apple Buffet, there doesn't seem to be much information about it just yet. There is an official Facebook page for the restaurant, though! A Facebook comment from Cheesy Noodle on the Cedar Rapids Area Support Local Group says, "we are excited to join the Cedar Rapids community.
