I think I might need to move to Iowa City now!

According to a new article from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, Insomnia Cookies is going to be opening a new location at 125 E. Washington Street in Iowa City. If that name sounds familiar, you may have seen a couple of other Iowa locations in Ames and Cedar Falls. The bakery chain is popular in college towns all over the country, already serving students at the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University, so it makes sense that the University of Iowa will join the club next!

For those of you not familiar with Insomnia Cookies, the company is known for their delicious baked goods and their late-night delivery hours. Some of the popular cookie flavors include Double Chocolate Chunk, Peanut Butter Chip, Snickerdoodle, and Orange Creamsicle. They even have several vegan options! But, cookies aren't the only thing Insomnia offers. The menu also includes Cookie'wiches and cookie cakes, and you can even add a scoop of ice cream to the top of a cookie or brownie.

There's no word yet on when the Iowa City Insomnia Cookies location is set to open, but there's already signage up, which is promising! An article from Little Village says they're aiming for later this summer. The hours listed on Insomnia's website says that they will deliver from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. Thursday & Friday, and 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday. If you prefer to stop in and pick something up yourself, the shop itself will be open late, too.
