New 5k Color Run Has Distinctive Cedar Rapids Flair
There are two things that help color the Cedar Rapids landscape.
One is Quaker Oats, with the delightful sight and delicious smells of "Crunch Berries".
Another is Murals & More, a local non-profit group dedicated to promoting public art in Cedar Rapids.
Together they've created the inaugural Crunch Berry Run, a family-friendly, colorful 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk to be held on Saturday, September 21 at Greene Square Park in downtown Cedar Rapids.
The event is sponsored by Quaker Oats, who has officially sanctioned the use of the name "Crunch Berry" for this fundraiser for Murals & More. All proceeds from this event will go towards public art projects in Cedar Rapids.
In partnership with Downtown Farmers’ Market, The Crunch Berry Run begins at 9:00 a.m. at Greene Square in Downtown Cedar Rapids.
Runners and Walkers will be sprayed in environmentally-friendly color powder as they travel the 5K or 1-mile route.
The Crunch Berry Run also features music, dancing, and other family-friendly activities. You can register here for all the fun.
