My Photographic Proof That Cedar Rapids is Ready for Official Start of Spring
I was picking up a few St. Patrick's Day decorating items this morning lamenting the fact I had to wear a coat when I was in a t-shirt and running shorts last night when I came across a strange sight.

I found, for lack of a better term, a field of snow. It was in a parking lot where they're trying to get the big mounds of snow to melt. It's also about the only place you'll find snow in Eastern Iowa these days, thankfully. I think they were a few days behind with this idea though. They should've done it before temperatures hit a record-tying 82 in Cedar Rapids on Monday and the whole mess might already be a memory. Still, it will be soon enough. Spring officially arrives Friday afternoon at 5:45. Yes, we're all ready...
