Finding affordable, fun holiday activities is going to be an even bigger challenge in 2020. Fortunately, the traditional favorites are finding ways to safely open during the pandemic.

The Mt. Pleasant Festival of Lights is one of the largest drive thru light displays in the Midwest. Located on the Midwest Old Threshers Campground at 405 East Threshers Road in Mt. Pleasant Iowa, it is hosted each year the by Old Threshers, and boasts of over 120 displays on its one-mile route.

A drive through the Festival of Lights is a trip that sparks childhood memories of a forgotten family tradition, where mom and dad load up the kids in the car, stocked up with cookies and hot cocoa, and the radio set to 104.5 KDAT.
