The first five days of November in Montana were greeted with highs in the 60s and 70s. Then, WINTER arrived over the weekend.

From Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning, in the city of Great Falls, temperatures plummeted from 72* to 20* and brought a lot of snow with it.

As much as 16" of snow has already fallen and storm totals could top 2 feet.

Three weeks ago, Great Falls set a new daily snowfall record of over 8”. This was Montana’s third major snowstorm in the last four weeks.

Since Sept. 1, Great Falls has seen over 32 inches of snow, compared to the normal of 6.8 inches, according to the Weather Service.
