Awesome Craft/Makers Markets Happening in Eastern Iowa This Fall

Earlier this month, Midwest Living published a list of '10 Great Makers Markets to Visit This Fall.' We're happy to report that one Iowa market made the cut! It's called The Pear Fair, and it's held annually in Cedar Falls.

The Pear Fair is a popular craft fair that showcases "the very best in local and regional handmade craft and design." The 14th annual event will be held on Saturday, September 21st from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., right on the corner of 22nd St and College St. It typically attracts more than 2,000 shoppers, and there are currently over 20 vendors listed on the website, but there are more to be announced. The other market that's close to us here in Eastern Iowa is the Made Market Quad Cities, which is coming up this weekend! It will be held at the Bend XPO in East Moline on Friday and Saturday, August 23rd and 24th. They host three markets each year: one in the spring, one in the summer, and one around the holidays. Each event features "over 150 vendors with trendy boutiques, vintage finds, and the best handmade goods in the Midwest." Admission is $7 at the door.
