Landon Cassill Looking For A New NASCAR Ride After 2017 Season
Front Row Motorsports announced on Tuesday that it would be parting ways with driver Landon Cassill following the 2017 season. The 28-year-old Cedar Rapids native had been with the team for 2 seasons.
Cassill told the Cedar Rapids Gazette that it was awkward and frustrating to find out the news while still at work. But he understands it's part of the sport. Cassill added that he's not alone. Drivers Kasey Kahne and Michael McDowell have received similar news in recent days. Despite the ups and downs, Cassill says the journey is still worth it.
Cassill has 253 Cup starts since 2010. His best finish was a fourth at Talladega back in 2014. He finished 16th at this year's Daytona 500.
