KHAK’s ‘Teacher of the Week’ Winner Comes from the CRCSD

It's time to honor another fantastic teacher here in Eastern Iowa! This week's 'Teacher of the Week' winner is Melissa Trumpold, a teacher at Wilson Middle School in Cedar Rapids. Melissa was nominated by Becca English who wrote:

"Melissa is an amazing person who works daily with children who are experiencing behavior setbacks. As a special teacher, she goes above and beyond for her students, even creating a safe place where she has incorporated yoga as a release for these kids. She wears their pain and carries their struggles home daily. They are always on her mind. And, when she's had a bad day, she posts a picture of Kathy's Pies sugar cookies!"

For being such a wonderful educator, Melissa will be receiving a free massage or facial from Massage Heights, plus $25 gift cards to Kathy's Pies, Wild Hogs, and Half Price Books.
