Kenny Rogers to Receive “Lifetime” Award the Day After Cedar Rapids Concert
Kenny Rogers is set to become only the second singer to receive the "Artist of a Lifetime" award.
Kenny will follow Merle Haggard as the second recipient of the "Artist of a Lifetime" during "CMT Artists of the Year," December 2 at 7 pm Iowa time on CMT. Kenny commented on the honor via a press release saying, "You go through your life and your career and you try to do the right things and make the right decisions. You don't always do that, but I have been very lucky. I am grateful for it all. This is a great honor and one I highly treasure. Being in with Merle Haggard on anything is always a thrill."
Kenny will be honored along with this year's "CMT Artists of the Year:" Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, and Little Big Town. Chris Stapleton will also be awarded the Breakthrough Award.
Rogers will be in Cedar Rapids December 1 for his "Once Again It's Christmas" tour which also features Linda Davis. Brain and Courtlin still have second and FRONT ROW tickets to give away. Details on that here. You can also sign up to be one of our winners of a four-pack of tickets here.
