The NFL Scouting Combine happened over the weekend. No single event can raise or tank a prospect like performing poorly at the combine. Fortunately for former Iowa Hawkeye running back Kaleb Johnson, he did nothing but impress this weekend!

There were plenty of former Hawkeyes at the NFL Combine over the weekend, but most scouts were anxious to see running back Kaleb Johnson. Dear Old Gold reports that Johnson is the highest ranked former Hawkeye to get an invite. Johnson showed plenty of speed while with the Hawkeyes, but his 40 time would be looked at carefully.

Johnson's 4.57 40 time isn't blazing, but it shows that for a powerful runner, he can move! Remember, this guy is 6 feet tall and weighs 225 pounds! Fans like to call this type of speed, 'sneaky fast.' It worked at Iowa to the tune of 21 touchdowns last season!

Johnson possesses breakaway speed but is definitely more of a downhill runner. But when he gets rolling, check out the damage he can do!

There is a reason that he was the 'thunder' in Iowa's running game last season. So just where is Johnson projected to be drafted? Dear Old Gold reports that this is a talented and deep running back class entering the NFL. Johnson and several other backs could be late first or early second round draft picks come April.
