At the beginning of 2024, it was announced that a taco spot would be moving into a coveted spot in Cedar Falls.

Located at 2214 College Street, Zury's Taco Bar took over the old OP location in early 2024. The eatery features Latin American inspired food and drinks.

According to a report from the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Courier, the owner of this eatery started things slow by operating out of a food truck at first.

The eatery put out a short and concise statement on social media on Thursday, November 21st regarding the status of Zury's.

According to this Facebook post, the taco spot will be closed until further notice.

Zury’s Taco Bar Responds to Customer Comments on Closure

The staff at Zury's have responded to some comments on this post, thanking some of their loyal customers for frequenting their establishment.

From the look of things on social media, it initially seemed that they were closing up shop. However, over the weekend, the restaurant team posted that they would be reopening on Tuesday, November 26th.

We've contacted the team at Zury's Taco Bar for a statement regarding the closure, but have not received a response yet.
