This summer, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is opening up an exhibit here in the Hawkeye State. This totally immersive experience brings the work of Dutch painter Van Gogh to life in a moving way.

It has become a global phenomenon for its striking visual displays (and it probably has absolutely nothing to do with the hit Netflix show 'Emily In Paris'). There will be a symphony of sounds and visuals as you walk through Van Gogh's life work.

Beyond Van Gogh uses projection technology and an original musical score to bring 300 of his works to life in a 30,000 square feet space.

Davenport's RiverCenter will be hosting this incredibly popular experience throughout the summer. It opened for visitors on May 20th and is anticipated to run through July 20th. You can check out this art installation seven days a week in the Quad Cities.

Here are the general hours of operation for Beyond Van Gogh:

Monday ~ 10am – 8pm (last entry at 7pm)

Tuesday ~ 10am – 8pm (last entry at 7pm)

Wednesday ~ 10am – 8pm (last entry at 7pm)

Thursday ~ 10am – 8pm (last entry at 7pm)

Friday ~ 10am – 9pm (last entry at 8pm)

Saturday ~ 10am – 9pm (last entry at 8pm)

Sunday ~ 10am – 7pm (last entry at 6pm)

The entire exhibition should take you approximately an hour to complete in full. However, at the end there is a fully immersive space that you can stay in for as long as you'd like (during the allotted business hours).

On select Saturdays, there will be "Beyond Yoga" classes that will take place in the Immersive Room taught by local instructors. There is already one class scheduled for June 3rd that will be hosted by One Tree Hot Yoga.

Tickets and timeslots are available to the public now. Check out all slots on the official Beyond Van Gogh website.
