Warning: Popular Coffee Creamer Recalled in the Midwest

If you're like me, and millions of other Americans, you likely start your day with a cup of coffee. Or twelve. Well, if you also use coffee creamer, listen up! There's a major recall impacting the Midwest.

It feels like we have a new recall story every day, but this one is important because it's a class II recall, which is pretty serious. Class I is the highest.

The product being recalled this time is coffee creamer produced and sold by International Delight.

What to Know About the International Delight Recall

The recall involves Danone US, the parent company of Internation Delight. They first issued the recall for two popular creamers, Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Creamer and Hazelnut Creamer, on February 21.

Then on March 12, the Food and Drug Administration classified the recall as the above-mentioned class II level.

Class II recalls are defined by the FDA as,

...exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

The reason for the recall is potential spoilage. The company issued the recall after several customer complaints about a spoiled product causing illness.

The recalled creamers are linked to two specific sizes:

• 32-ounce Cinnabon Classic Cinnamon Roll Creamer, with the UPC code 0 41271 01993 3 with a use-by date of July 3, 2025
•  32-ounce Hazelnut Creamer, with the UPC code 0 41271 02565 2 with a use-by date of July 3, 2025

This particular recall impacts products sold in several Midwest states including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Nebraska. You can find all 31 impacted states here.
