Infamous Golfer John Daly Set to Make Appearance in Urbandale

One of the most popular and charismatic golfers is coming to Iowa for a meet and greet opportunity at a local grocery store.

Even if you're not familiar with golf, John Daly is someone who is instantly recognizable. Boasting long, flowing white hair, and a bushy beard to complement it, Daly is beloved by casual and die-hard golf fans for his incredible driving distance and his "everyman" persona. He's someone who doesn't look like your average golfer. He looks like a guy who would belly-up at a local dive-bar, watch golf on TV, slug a Miller Lite, and make commentary to himself and patrons.

John Daly is Making an Appearance in Iowa:

On June 9th, John Daly will be in Urbandale, IA for a special meet and greet at the Hy-Vee at 8701 Douglas Avenue. From 5pm - 6:30pm, he will be on-site taking pictures and signing autographs on behalf of Good Boy Vodka.

Good Boy Vodka has a popular line of mixed drinks, including canned cocktails such as "Screwdriver," "Transfusion," and "Water Hazard." Furthermore, Daly's partnership with the brand ties into the popular cocktail that takes his name. The "John Daly" cocktail is an alcoholic variation of the Arnold Palmer, but instead of simply iced tea and lemonade, vodka is added. Good Boy Vodka has a line of canned John Daly cocktails too.

I always find it cool when celebrities take time to meet with their fans at settings like grocery stores, where many of them inevitably stop. Prior to his death, Hulk Hogan would make appearances at grocery stores around the Midwest, promoting his own particular beverage.
