The crash happened as Boice was driving into a parking spot on the South side of the restaurant. As Boice was pulling into the spot, she failed to stop her vehicle.

This sent her car through the side of the restaurant. Half of her vehicle lay inside the restaurant, injuring multiple patrons.

Five people were sent to the Winneshiek County emergency room. According to the Decorah Police Department, all five sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

While her car was lodged into the side of the building, Boice was freed from her vehicle by the Decorah Fire Department. Boice sustained no injuries from the accident.
