Iowans Share Their Favorite Go-To Comfort Shows [GALLERY]

When you're looking for a feel-good TV show that you can always count on to calm you down and help you relax, what's your go-to?

The website Ranker has an ongoing ranking of the "Comfort Shows That Are Perfect For Playing In Background Of Life." They describe them as "the shows that feel familiar and [that] keep [you] company, like a good friend." As of right now (2/12/26), these are the top three shows, as voted on by users:

1. The Big Bang Theory
2. Schitt's Creek
3. Friends

To be honest, almost ALL of the shows I watch are comfort shows. There are like... 10 sitcoms that I alternate between at any given time (right now I'm in the middle of a Friends re-watch). But, if I HAD to choose, I would say that my go-to comfort show is Bob's Burgers. It's the show I have on in the background whenever I'm doing chores or taking a nap, and it's also the show that I put on for Tater when I leave him at home. Plus, there are more than 300 episodes of Bob's Burgers, so it's hard to get bored of it.
