There are lots of cozy and unique places to stay within the state of Iowa, but there's one property that seems to be catching people's eyes more than any other! This spring, Airbnb put together a rundown of the most wishlisted homes across all 50 states, and the pick for Iowa is both modern AND rural.

Before we get to Iowa's favorite Airbnb, let's talk recent vacation trends. According to data from Airbnb's article, they have seen a rise in spontaneous, last minute trips, as well as nearby getaways. The article says that "searches for trips within 50-300 miles of guests’ origins make up nearly 25 percent of guest searches for summer trips this year."

Iowa's Most Wishlisted Airbnb

The Private & Modern Cabin is around 1,100-square feet and includes a spacious outdoor deck and patio. The home features three bedrooms, four beds, and one bathroom, and can host up to six guests. But, don't let the word "cabin" fool you, because this space is probably a little bit fancier than you were expecting! The Airbnb listing reads:

"This is not your typical cabin experience. It's recently built and has all the modern amenities you would expect in a traditional home, no outhouses here! It includes a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, and a washer and dryer for your use."

The cabin may be modern, but the land it sits on is not. It's located in on farm land right next to the Princeton Wildlife Management Area, which spans over 2,200 acres, and is less than a half-mile away from the Mississippi River. Think gravel roads, bugs & critters, dark skies for star-gazing, and train tracks. In fact, there's a train that runs right in front of the house!
