A Des Moines man has won a million dollars with a taped-back-together lottery ticket.

Pete Kemp bought a Powerball ticket at a Cash Saver supermarket and then went into a convenience store on Sunday to have his ticket checked. While he was there, a store clerk accidently ripped up his winning ticket and tossed it in the trash while he was grabbing some paperwork. Luckily, Kemp realized he didn't have his ticket checked after he got into his car, and he went back in to get it. They taped it back together, and it turns out he won A MILLION BUCKS.

I bet that cashier will be REAL careful the next time he's dealing with lottery tickets! He almost threw A MILLION dollars right in the trash!
