A Hiawatha resident faces numerous charges after leading law enforcement on a chase reaching speeds of over 100 mph.

The Cedar Rapids Police Department had put out an "attempt to locate" request to other law enforcement. The suspect vehicle had been reported traveling in the northbound lanes of Interstate 380, moving at a very high rate of speed.

A Linn County deputy spotted the suspect vehicle approaching his patrol car, passing the deputy going over 100 mph. The suspect refused to pull over for authorities, continuing the chase onto Blairs Ferry Road, then south on Rockwell Drive.

The pursuit then headed east on Collins Road, headed out of Cedar Rapids on Highway 100. The suspect vehicle then sideswiped two vehicles near the intersection of 22nd Street and Pleasant View Drive. After that collision, the vehicle left the road, going through yards along Pleasant View Drive in Marion, striking a mailbox and rock landscaping, and finally coming to a stop on the road.
