Iowa is Home to One of America’s Best Gas Station Restaurants

Gas stations and restaurants aren't typically places you associate with each other. When I think gas station food, I think items that are quick, easy, and slightly disappointing, like hot dogs or taquitos. Apparently, I'm just going to the wrong gas stations!

The website Love Food recently put together a list of America's best gas station restaurants, and I'm happy to report that an Iowa location made the list!

If you've ever taken a road trip through Iowa on I-80, then there's a good chance you've spotted the World's Largest Truck Stop. Located in Walcott, the World's Largest Truck Stop has been a fixture since 1964. The massive space is home to a barber shop, a chiropractor, a movie theatre, a workout room, a laundry facility, a dentist office, and lots of food options, including Iowa 80 Kitchen.

According to Love Food, Iowa 80 Kitchen is one of the best gas station restaurants in the country. The menu offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, with everything from omelettes to burgers to pot roast. If want to try a a little of everything, there's also an all you can eat breakfast or lunch/dinner buffet on certain days of the week.

Iowa 80 Kitchen is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Remember that the next time you pass by while you're traveling!
