An Iowa-based department store has been voted one of the very best in the United States.

USA Today recently revealed its '10 Best Reader's Choice Awards.' A panel of experts determines finalists in each category before readers vote to make the final selections, according to the Des Moines Register.

Which Iowa-Based Department Store Made the List?

The Register reports that Davenport-based Von Maur placed 2nd overall in the 'Best Department Store' category in 2025. The only nationwide retailer to top them was JCPenney. According to the Register, Von Maur ranking so high on the list is quite a feat. They have just 39 stores in 17 states, compared to JCPenney, which has more than 650 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico.
