Cedar Rapids isn't the only Eastern Iowa city preparing to host a Restaurant Week in February of 2020! Iowa City will be celebrating Johnson County restaurants all month long with "Think Iowa City Foodie February." 

According to The Gazette, Iowa City Restaurant Week will be held February 15th through the 24th. It will kick off with a brand new event called "The Foodie Festival." The Foodie Festival will be held at the Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Coralville on February 15th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The official website states:

"This event will promote the local food scene giving our talented chefs an opportunity to shine as we celebrate the abundance of local eateries in the Iowa City area. This is a tasting event with small bites, wine, and a full bar for attendees to enjoy."

Tickets will go on sale on January 6th for $55 apiece, with the proceeds benefiting the CommUnity Food Bank, the Coralville Community Food Pantry, and the North Liberty Community Food Pantry. You can read more on the event HERE.

During restaurant week through the 24th, local restaurants will feature "prix fixe menus for lunch, dinner or both. Prices will be set at $15, $25 or $35 per meal." So far, the participating restaurants include:

Restaurant Week will conclude with Top Chef Iowa City on February 24th. That event will be held at the Graduate Hotel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will showcase Downtown and Northside Marketplace restaurants only. Tickets for that are also $55 and go on sale January 1st.
