A New Bookstore & Coffee Shop Opened This Week in Cedar Rapids

There's a new local shop to check out the next time you visit Cedar Rapids' Czech Village! I'll Meet You There officially opened the second half of their business this week!

About I'll Meet You There

I'll Meet You There is a "cozy" new bookstore and coffee shop that's owned by sisters Lindsay and Jaymie McGrath. According to the website, the shop's name is actually a tribute to their mother Mary Kay McGrath. The site reads:

"'I’ll meet you there' was a phrase Pat and Mary Kay McGrath often shared—whether arranging a meeting for business or planning a simple dinner together. It spoke to their unwavering love and trust, a promise that no matter the destination, they would always find one another. This sentiment is so cherished in the McGrath family that Mary Kay’s headstone bears those very words, a message of comfort and faith: she will meet her loved ones again in Heaven."

In addition to a selection of "carefully curated books," I'll Meet You There also offers a variety of gifts, decorations, and accessories. There are no food or drink menus posted  for the coffee shop yet, but the website promises that they're "coming soon!"

The Location

I'll Meet You There is located at 62 16th Ave SW in the Czech Village, the former home of Hospoda and Aces & Eights. There are two front entrances to the building: one for the coffee shop and one for the bookstore. You can park on the 16th Ave or in the parking lot located behind the shop.

The Grand Opening

While the bookstore portion of the business opened on December 8th, the owners of I'll Meet You There posted an update on social media this week to let the community know that they are welcoming customers into the coffee shop as of Friday, December 19th at 7 a.m.!

The regular business hours for I'll Meet You There will be Sunday & Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. They also noted that the business will be closed on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
