It's kind of a slow weekend when it comes to events in Eastern Iowa, but if you enjoy sports there are a few events that you might want to check out.

First of all, the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will be playing two home games at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena this Weekend. On Friday night, March 9th, they will be taking on their rivals, the Waterloo Black Hawks. The Dupaco Community Credit Union Cowbell Cup matchup will begin at 7:05 p.m., with the first 750 people through the door getting a set of RoughRiders player cards. On Saturday night, March 10th, the RoughRiders will play the Green Bay Gamblers, also with a puck drop of 7:05 p.m. Saturday night is also ALS Night. For both games this weekend, the RoughRiders will be wearing special ALS jerseys, which will be auctioned off after Saturday night's game. Tickets range from $10.75 to $35.75 and you can get yours HERE!

Also happening this weekend is the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids. There are two sessions on Friday, March 9th at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and two more sessions on Saturday, March 10th at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Individual session tickets are $15 for adults & $10 for students, and all-session passes are $35 for adults and $20 for students (you can get yours HERE). The NCAA did an article this week outlining some of the big things to look out for at the event, and you can check that out HERE.
