"Thy Will" is the first single from Hillary Scott & the Scott Family's Love Remains album. The new venture for the longtime Lady Antebellum frontwoman involves her mother, Linda Davis, father Lang Scott and little sister Rylee Scott. Ricky Skaggs produced the album and played the roll of pastor, as well, Scott told Taste of Country and select media with a smile on her face.

She wouldn't say what personal event inspired "Thy Will," but made it clear that it was devastating. "As I ask some really hard questions, I hold onto the truth that there is so much to the story of my life that I can't see, but that I still choose to trust Him," she writes in her five-paragraph note to fans.

As for why she's making a faith-based album, Scott says she wanted to share who she is.

These songs, and many like them, are the cry of my heart. I have been singing songs like this my whole life whether it be in church, with family and friends gathered around with guitars on my screened in porch, rocking my baby girl to sleep or while holding the hand of a dying loved one.

Scott furthers that fans will get a chance to see just exactly how personal and precious the music is to her. No release date has been shared, but she did say that Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady A have been very supportive of her new music. The trio will kick off a summer tour together in May.
