In 2011, a star player for the Iowa City West volleyball team was killed in a tragic moped accident. Now her memory and the team that went on to win the state championship without her will be remembered in "Live Like Line."

August 11, 2011, 17-year-old Caroline Found was killed while riding her moped home from a church youth event. She apparently hit a curb, lost control, and was killed when she hit a tree. She wasn't wearing a helmet.

Twelve days following Caroline's death, her mother died. Ellyn Found had been battling pancreatic cancer. She was only 55.

Caroline Found was a 5'10" setter. She had led the Trojans to the 2010 state title and was looking to help her team repeat. The team would find a way to accomplish the feat without Caroline, whose nickname was "Line." After winning their final match to claim the state title, the players held up a picture of Caroline as they celebrated and the song "Sweet Caroline" played over the PA.

What truly makes the story compelling enough for the big screen is what Caroline "Line" Found was all about. This comment her Iowa City West volleyball coach, Kathy Bresnahan, made to ESPN said it all: “Half the time, I couldn’t find her for pregame warm-ups because she was talking with the girls on the other team. She was irreverent, funny and spontaneous. She was in with the popular crowd, and yet she embraced everyone.”

Helen Hunt will play the part of coach Kathy Bresnahan in the movie. It's being written by David Aaron Cohen, who wrote Friday Night Lights. LD Entertainment is producing the film. The company's Mickey Liddell told Deadline, "Telling Caroline Found’s story is something that I’ve pursued for many years. It is truly inspiring and shows the resilience and toughness of young female athletes. I can’t imagine a better actor than Helen Hunt to carry this message to the big screen.”

Filming is slated to begin this summer, mostly in Vancouver, Canada, according to The Gazette.
