I don't know about you but I have a major sweet tooth. In fact, one of my favorite things about celebrating holidays is the treats. Easter is coming up and the treat Iowans will be indulging on the most may surprise you.

Easter Sunday is right around the corner on April 4. That means we don't have that long to wait until we can eat a ton of candy and not feel that bad about it. Are you thinking about a certain candy you're going to eat? If so, you may not be the only one thinking about that treat.

Zippia did some research to find each state's favorite Easter treat. They used Google Trends to find out what "Easter treat each state was eating a disproportionate amount of." These "treats" were ones that peaked in search volume around the holiday. They looked at what people were searching for the most in each state in the two weeks surrounding Easter.

According to Zippia's findings, Iowans really like Starburst Jelly Beans. Yum! We weren't the only ones either. Four other states (including our neighbor to the south, Missouri) had the same candy on their minds.

Some other findings I was surprised to see from the study was that the most liked Easter treat in the U.S. was boiled eggs. Do eggs even count as a treat? And that Idaho likes peeps the most, more than the other seven states that enjoy them around Easter. Gross.

Speaking of Easter and treats, if you're 21 and up you can treat yourself to a little wine with the Easter Bunny. That's because Bloomsbury Farm is hosting "Boozin' With The Bunny" this Saturday. If you're not of the adult beverage enjoyment age or have kiddos, you can see the Easter Bunny this weekend at Lindale Mall.

Happy Easter!
