Happy National Coffee Day!

An excuse to have an extra cup today? We'll take it!

Today is another one of those random holidays, but it's one that I think a lot of people are going to enjoy. September 29th is officially known as National Coffee Day! I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but I'll take a Frappuccino! That counts, right? Quite a few companies that sell coffee have deals going on today, and one of them has locations right here in Eastern Iowa. If you head into Dunkin' Donuts today, you can score a medium coffee for only 66 cents, in honor of their 66th anniversary this year.

Fun fact for you: The United States is NOT the biggest coffee drinking country in the world. We didn't even crack the top 10! We are actually #25, with Finland, Sweden, and The Netherlands coming in first, second, and third. Americans consumed 6.8 pounds of coffee per capita in 2014.
