I'm really sorry if that picture immediately made you hungry. It did the same thing to me.

If you're a cookie connoisseur, you've probably been seeking them out on family vacations for years. And now a third Iowa location is coming, right here in the Corridor. Great American Cookies is on its way. Go ahead, and grab a virtual bite of the Kitchen Sink Cookie (above) or the Pumpkin Spice Cookie (below) and let's forge ahead.

The news of Great American Cookies' arrival in the Corridor came at the end of last month, with this announcement:

"In the coming days, you’ll notice the name of this Facebook page will change & that we have a new look. We are rebranding from Nestle Toll House Café by Chip – Coral Ridge, to Great American Cookies, the home of the Original Cookie Cake. We look forward to continuing to serve you fresh-baked treats daily."
The Coralville Great American Cookies location, open seven days a week, is the company's third in Iowa. The other two are in Delaware Marketplace (2310 SE Delaware Avenue) in Ankeny and in Northpark Mall (320 West Kimberly Road) in Davenport.

Early this year, Great American Cookies had more than 370 locations in 29 states (and Guam) in the U.S., as well as in Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. A number of years ago, a location at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids closed.
