Iowa Governor Terry Branstad stepped out on a limb Thursday and made a prediction regarding the Iowa caucuses in 2016. Branstad predicted that front-runner Donald Trump would NOT win the state. The governor said that things will change "between now and February 1st. I have a lot of confidence in the Iowa voters in making that decision." Branstad made his comments this morning on CNN.

For the record, Branstad hasn't publicly endorsed ANY of the GOP candidates. He did mention a new poll that showed Trump trailing Ted Cruz. He also recalled the 2012 caucuses where the winner didn't lead in the polls until the week before. Rick Santorum won in 2012 after trailing Mitt Romney for much of the race. Romeny went on to become the eventual GOP nominee.
