Big Change Coming to the Annual Fish-O-Rama Fundraiser in Cedar Rapids
Who are the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor?
Founded in 1993 as the Boys & Girls Club of Cedar Rapids, the organization is now known as the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor. They provide year-round youth development programs to school-aged children in Marion, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City. Their mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those in greatest need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
Fish-O-Rama is right around the corner
The 22nd Annual Fish-O-Rama is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 3rd and 4th, at Robbins Lake, located at the corner of Edgewood Road and Ellis Boulevard NW. The lake will be stocked with tagged catfish, and the gates will open to over 1,200 participants at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday. As tagged fish are caught, participants can bring them to the prize tent and exchange them for exciting prizes. Fish-O-Rama is one of the organization’s largest fundraisers of the year, with all proceeds staying in the Corridor to support the safe and nurturing environment for 300 kids and teens, helping them grow into productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
