Music City, what took you so long?

Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks will get stars on the Nashville Music City Walk of Fame next month. Nashville Mayor Karl Dean told Musicrow, "Trisha and Garth are two great artists who represent what makes Nashville special. They are musicians. They are entrepreneurs. And they are generous community advocates. The way they care about Nashville is as inspiring as their music. Garth stood strong with the city during the 2010 flood recovery, and we will never forget that. The city of Nashville is proud to recognize their accomplishments as individuals through inducting them in the Walk of Fame, and we are thrilled they will be our first husband-wife team to receive this honor."

Garth tops all-time album sales in the U.S. with 136 million sold and is a member of three halls of fames. Trisha is not only a platinum-selling artist but also a New York Times best-seller and Grammy and Emmy-award winner.

Trisha and Garth will receive stars #64 and 65 on the Walk of Fame. Here's the full list of inductees so far. Visit Nashville and you can see the free ceremony in person at 2 pm Thursday, September 10th in Walk of Fame Park. Speaking of visits... Garth announced this morning the next stop on his World Tour will be Cleveland, Ohio. Iowa is still waiting Garth.
