Former Iowa tight end and current Detriot Lion T.J. Hockenson sure knows how to make a first impression. How about setting an NFL record during your first game in the league!

Hockenson, drafted 8th overall by Detroit in this past spring's NFL Draft, had 131 yards receiving and a touchdown against Arizona on Sunday. That was good for the most yards receiving by a tight end in his NFL debut. It broke the old record of 123 yards set by Monty Stickles in 1960!

Hockenson needed only 6 receptions to tally his 131 yards. One of those came in the 4th quarter when Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford scrambled to find the former Hawkeye in the endzone for his first career NFL Touchdown!

Hockenson and the Lions looked good in week one. Not good enough to win, but also not bad enough to lose. Yes, the Lions and Cardinals TIED 27-27 in OT. Can the NFL please change the overtime rules soon! Congrats to T.J. Hockenson!
