This summer a television prequel to the beloved movie 'Field of Dreams' will officially go into production. Filming will take place across Iowa, but there's still no sign that anything will be shot at the original baseball field site in Dyersville.

Produce Iowaa sector of the the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs which "empowers Iowa to build and sustain culturally vibrant communities by connecting Iowans to the people, places and points of pride that define our state," is the organization that is coordinating with the television team from Peacock on this project.

These Produce Iowa officials say that full production for the show has actually shifted a bit and the crew will begin filming in Iowa around Labor Day. They are looking for production crew members to help with some of the Iowa location dates.

You can fill out a form to join Produce Iowa's production directory here. If selected, you'll be a part of the production crew for the project/be a production assistant.

With the production about to kick off in the next few months, some Iowans might be interested in working behind the scenes, but others want to be in front of the camera.

Produce Iowa officially put out the call for paid extras for this highly anticipated series. They anticipate that they will need people from September to early October for filming.
