Iowa Brewery Takes Home Prestigious Award at U.S. Beer Festival

Only one Corridor brewery can say that they took home an award from the 2025 Great American Beer Festival!

The Great American Beer Festival was held on October 11th in Denver, Colorado. It is annually one of the beer industry's most prestigious events. Last year, four Iowa breweries brought home medals. This year, it was just one.

Which Iowa Brewery won an award at the Great American Beer Festival?

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that honor belongs to Field Day Brewing! The brewery in North Liberty, Iowa, earned a silver medal in the American Fruit Beer category for its Lime Featherweight beer. There were over 100 beers in that category that Field Day competed against!

Alec Travis, owner and director of brewing operations at Field Day, told the Gazette that " we were honored to help put Iowa on the map for world-class beer in 2025 like many have before us."

How Many Different Beers Competed This Year?

To earn an award at the Great American Beer Festival is a great honor. The Gazette reports that there were over 8,500 entries from 273 different breweries from across the country at this year's event. A total of 347 medals were awarded in 108 beer categories.

Which Iowa Breweries won awards in 2024?

The Des Moines Register reports that four Iowa breweries won awards last year, including Big Grove Brewery for Easy Eddy, Single Speed Brewery for Lavender Haze, Paha Cider for Cedar Valley Blend, and Pivo Brewery for Decorah Nordic Gruit.

The 2026 Great American Beer Festival will be held October 8-10, 2026, in Denver.
