When you start a diet, there is a phase you have to fight through.  That constant hungry feeling.  The people at Health Source told me that mine would subside in around 4 or 5 days.  I kept waiting.  Yesterday, February 12th, was the magic day.  No hunger pains!  Phase 1 complete!  It was so much easier to get through the day!

After one week of my diet, I'm down 6 pounds!  I feel like I've lost more.  I can tell a difference in my appearance, and so can my wife...and that's always a good thing!  Success makes moving forward easier, because the food temptations never stop!

One thing this diet is teaching me is how I look at food.  I found that I ate the majority of unhealthy things not when I was truly hungry, but when I was bored, or it was simply a craving.  I feel more confident in my ability to deal with those things now.

It will be tested tonight though.  Dinner out at one of my favorite restaurants with the family. Keep eating smart and healthy people!
