Everything You Need to Know About Amana Winterfest

This Saturday is the annual Winterfest event in the Amana Colonies and there is an endless number of events and activities that you can take part in! Here is a rundown of some of the big ones:

The Amana Freezer 5k Run/Walk - Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Appliance Center, with the race kicking off at 10 a.m. at the Woolen Mill. Get more details HERE
Winterfest Wine Walk - From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can visit all the Amana wineries for samples. If you get your Wine Walk punch card punched at each location, you will receive a free glass. The event is $2 to participate
Kids Activities
- Millstream Brewery - Roast marshmallows around the bonfire at 2 p.m.
- Little Red Wagon - Make your own snowglobe for $5 per person from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Ox Yoke Inn - Decorate your own cookie from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a free will donation to Safe Haven of Iowa County
- Chocolate Haus - Dip and decorate your own marshmallow delight or pretzel for $3.75
Market Barn Events
- Ice Sculpting - 11 a.m.
- Chainsaw Artists - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Winterfest Games at the Market Barn
- Log Sawing Competition, Nagelhauen, Great Amana Ham-Put, Porkchop SlapShot, Ice Fishing, Wreath Toss - 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Best Beard Competition - 1 p.m.
- Eisbahn Ice Rink - 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- One Shot Bag Toss - 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
- Open Fire Chili - 11 a.m. until it's GONE!
Snow Ball Dance - Millstream Brau Haus from 5 to 9 p.m.
