Kiwanis Miracle League at Prospect Meadows – Fall 2023 Season
Additional Information
The Kiwanis Miracle League will kick off the season with a record number of 128 registered players.
The Kiwanis Miracle League at Prospect Meadows provides opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball. Our goal is to remove barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the field and allow them to enjoy the game and have fun.
Community members are welcome to join us each week as a fan in the stands or as a volunteer "buddy". Games will be played at 9, 10, and 11 am, with a small break for lunch followed by two more games at 12:30 and 1:30 PM, every Saturday for six weeks beginning August 26th.
You can find us on Instagram @miracleleague.prospectmeadows or on Facebook at Kiwanis Miracle League at Prospect Meadows.
About the Miracle League: The Kiwanis Miracle League at Prospect Meadows has its own set of rules. Every player bats once each inning, all base runners are safe, and every player scores a run before the inning is over (last one up hits a grand slam). Community volunteers serve as "buddies" to assist players in hitting the ball and running the bases and every game ends in a tie. In other words, everyone hits, everyone moves around the bases, everyone scores, and everyone has fun.
