Get a Taste of the Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar in Cedar Rapids

A local baker is offering Eastern Iowans a taste of the Dubai Chocolate that's been all over social media these past few months!

A few months ago, videos about Dubai Chocolate started popping up on TikTok. The company that created the viral dessert sensation is Fix Dessert Chocolatier, and their chocolate bars are only available in Dubai. That creates a bit of a problem for people all over the world who have seen the videos and want to give it a try.

According to a September article from Today, Dubai Chocolate is "inspired by knafeh: a Middle Eastern dessert made with kataifi (a shredded phyllo pastry), attar (a sweet, sugary syrup) and then layers of cheese, pistachio, cream or other fillings." The pistachio is what gives the filling its greenish hue.

Although Fix Dessert Chocolatier's viral Dubai Chocolate isn't available to purchase in the U.S. (yet!), you can get a taste of it from a local Cedar Rapids business! Glory Cake and Occasions has created their own version of the chocolate bar, and each one is homemade with "only the finest ingredients."

The Dubai Chocolate Bar from Glory Cake and Occasions is $19.99, which is about the same price you would pay for the original from Fix Dessert Chocolatier. Several customers have posted reviews on social media, and they all seem to agree that the the bars are delicious!
