Between the U.S. Cellular Center, the Paramount Theatre, the McGrath Amphitheatre, NewBo City Market stage and the Sinclair Levy in NewBo, which hosted this summer's annual Balloon Glow, the Ice Arena, which now holds a virtual reality arcade, and others, there still doesn't seem to be enough entertainment venues in Cedar Rapids. Or maybe it's just that there's not enough quality entertainment being booked at the venues we have.

Either way, KCRG reports the city is still looking to expand entertainment options. The planned waterpark in 2017 fell through at that time, although developers are still hashing out the idea. We all know about the casino saga in this town.  The city is still taking bids and ideas from developers on what to do with land that was most recently earmarked for the latest failed casino.

They don't just want to attract residents currently here, they want to bring in visitors. What say you? What can the city do to bring in bigger,  high-profile entertainment and concerts before we keep losing them to the Quad Cities, Des Moines and even Coralville with its new arena in development? Who would you like to see come to town?
