Decision on Cedar Crossing Casino Will Come Down on Thursday

Tomorrow is the day.  Following a yes vote in our community more than 13 months ago, Thursday is the day the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission decides the fate of Cedar Crossing Casino.

I'm not a big gambler by any means, but I'm hoping that Cedar Crossing gets approved.  I believe it would be a terrific thing for Cedar Rapids near west-side and Cedar Rapids as a whole.  Still, if it isn't approved this city will be just fine.  After all, when you compare the possibility of a no vote to what our community went through not quite six years ago, it somehow doesn't seem like all that big of a deal.  However, I'm guessing those inside the gaming industry, and those hoping to get in, won't sleep much tonight.
