Officials from the Iowa State Fair have announced that there will be a major change to its Grandstand Lineup this summer. Dan + Shay are stepping in for Keith Urban for the singer's concert date at the fair. Urban, who was set to perform on Saturday, August 21 is backing out due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts.

Urban has not made any statement about the cancellation on his social media platforms as of yet.

Russel Dickerson will still be the opening act for that evening's concert. However, for fans who had their heart set on seeing Keith Urban finally come around to the Iowa State Fair, there is a decent consulation prize.

Refunds are available for those who purchased tickets for the Keith Urban concert through the Iowa State Fair ticket vendor, Etix. Ticketholders will also receive a special code to purchase tickets if Keith Urban comes back to the fair sometime in the future.

Tickets for the Dan + Shay show will go on sale Thursday, June 10 at 10am.

As of right now, there are no other changes to the music lineup. Some of the other artists that are still slated to perform include: Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Dustin Lynch, and Sam Hunt. The shows will go on at the Kum & Go Stage, with tickets ranging between $45 to $80.

The country duo last performed at the Iowa State Fair in 2019. Urban was scheduled to perform at the Grandstand last year, but the show was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
